History
1965 - Elmer & Margaret Middleton, along with their children started Elmer Middleton & Sons Lumber Company in Puryear, Tennessee. 1980 - The Middleton family moved their sawmill business to the site that is home to the operation currently. 1989 - The first dry kilns were added making the business more sustainable for years to come. 2005 - With the passing of Elmer Middleton nearly a decade before, the family restructured the business to form Middleton Lumber Company, LLC. 2011 - Middleton Lumber Company expanded to add a facility that would offer surfacing, ripping, and a variety of options to better serve their end user.
